Objectives

Students considering the multitude of career opportunities in biomedical research, biotech innovation, pharmaceuticals, or related fields – come to Copenhagen to gain:

  • Insights into biotechnology-based methods for diagnosis and treatment of disease
  • An understanding of the dynamics of drug discovery and development
  • An introduction to the thriving cluster of biomedical research centers, biotech companies and pharmaceutical companies in the Greater Copenhagen Area

Study Tours

DIS places strong emphasis on combining classroom work with experiential learning so that you walk away with applicable, real life, cross-cultural skills for the global job market.

Study Tours – each semester

  • A short regional study tour in Denmark
  • A longer European study tour to Edinburgh (fall) or London (spring)

The study tours, which are covered by the DIS tuition, form an integral part of the core course. They feature highly topical visits to biomedical research centers and companies.
