Value For Money...

A safe investment in your future

Did you know...

  • DIS' Comprehensive Tuition and Housing Fees, once announced, are guaranteed not to change. Many other study abroad programs' prices are not fixed and can increase as the US dollar continues to fall.
  • Despite the sharp drop in the US dollar's value since 2001, DIS has been able to keep any price increases to a minimum. Why? Because the Danish Government supports DIS financially through a line item in the Danish national budget.
  • Students are eligible for a needs-based DIS scholarship, equal to 11% of total program fees. Read more about study abroad scholarships
  • .
  • In addition to the items listed under Tuition & Fees, DIS has a large on-site staff providing a vast array of services to our students in Copenhagen at no extra cost such as:
    • personal counseling
    • housing assistance
    • student information
    • visa advice and assistance
    • passport registration
    • clubs and groups (choir, faith-based, film, etc.)
    • computer services
    • student service desk
    • tourist info and advice
    • volunteer programs
    • insurance claim processing
    • student intranet - DIS Forum
    • paper writing workshops
    • and much, much more

Once you have paid your fees to DIS, you can safely budget your stay in Europe. There are no hidden additional costs! See Comprehensive Tuition Fee and the Comprehensive Housing Fee to see just how much each fee covers and does not cover. For example, they do not cover getting to Denmark, nor the optional study tour to Russia, nor food if you select the Kollegium Stay or Danish Roommate option, nor various other items. But this is all stated in the text. So once you arrive in Copenhagen, having pre-paid the fees, you will have no financial concerns in relation to DIS.

The year I spent in Copenhagen turned out to be one of the best of my life!

"When I first heard about DIS, I knew it was perfect for me. The only problem was the cost. It was tough going from state tuition to private tuition, but it was the best money I have ever spent. The study abroad office helped me find scholarships and other ways of coming up with the difference. The year I spent in Copenhagen turned out to be one of the best of my life!"
