Upcoming Climate Change Seminars
The spring 2010 DIS are in full swing with three events coming up in the next month.
February 9, 2010
The seminars are open to all DIS students, faculty, and staff with the next installment on Wednesday, February 10 (at 17:30) focusing on Oceans and Their Importance in Mitigating Climate Change. This topic will be discussed by Katherine Richardson, who is one of the leading Danish experts in the area of climate change and a leading global expert on oceanic climate change.
Then on Wednesday, February 17 at 17:00, a panel, including Nils Thorsen (Senior Manager at Ernst & Young and responsible for Environment and Sustainability Services in Denmark) and Ida Jorgensen (Researcher at Copenhagen Capacity and Co-founder of Innovative Reflections) will lead a debate on Sustainable Business Development.
Designing a Green Lifestyle is the third topic under consideration, when Kristian Villadsen will discuss Copenhagen’s green transformation and goal of becoming the world’s first CO2 neutral city and Dominic Balmforth will present the innovative concept of a waste free lifestyle through Cradle to Cradle Design. This seminar takes place on Wednesday, March 10 at 17:30.
