Health, Accident and Personal Liability Insurance
Students enrolled at DIS have comprehensive health, accident and personal liability insurance coverage by a combination of the very extensive Danish national health service system and a policy of the 'Europæiske' Insurance Company.

The insurance is valid in Europe, including the EU and additional countries in central Europe and the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea.
During your son or daughter’s stay in Copenhagen, they will be assigned an English-speaking family doctor in their neighborhood. Doctors' visits, hospitalization, the issuing of prescriptions, and prescribed medicine are covered. In addition, the following items are included (exchange rates):

The insurance does not cover (semester, year and summer):
- Pre-existing illnesses (note: wearing glasses/ contact lenses is considered a pre-existing illness)
- Anything related to birth control or pregnancy
- Vaccinations and regular check-ups
- Allergy shots and anything connected with allergies
- Dental care
- DIS transportation pass unless you have a copy of it
- Bills for cell phone usage in case your phone was lost/stolen
- Psychology sessions
Commercial and Product Liability Insurance
A sum is insured of DKK 15,000,000 (aggregate) for bodily injury and/or property damage per insurance year through a policy with Tryg Insurance Company.
