DIS offers a variety of internship opportunities in various departments. An internship at DIS is a great way to start an international career, become an integrated part of a multicultural workplace and gain hands-on experience in the field of international education.

The starting point of the DIS internship program is to offer a challenging and rewarding work experience for DIS alumni and at the same time raise our service level for DIS students, faculty and staff. The interns are entrusted with a high level of responsibility and are therefore expected to carry out their internship with professionalism and commitment.

Practical Information

Requirements
All applicants for a DIS internship must have been a previous DIS summer, semester, or full-year student and must have completed a bachelor's degree or higher. All coursework at DIS must have been completed in good standing.

You are required to have read the Frequently Asked Questions document.

The length of an internship
Most of the internship positions last for a 13-months period. However, the Architecture & Design department has one 12-months contract starting in January and in June four internships start with a duration of 15 months (two in the Architecture & Design department, one in Housing & Student Affairs, and one in the Psychology and Child Development department). All others are 13-months contracts.

You are welcome to apply for a maximum of two positions. A complete application should include:

Deadline for submitting an application

For positions starting June or August 2012, applications are accepted between December 1, 2011 and January 15, 2012.

For positions starting January 2013, applications are accepted between May 1, 2012 and June 15, 2012.
