Children in a Multicultural Context
A five-day study tour to Istanbul
Experience the dynamic city of Istanbul which boarders the east and west. Explore current issues of education and child care in relation to child development in a Turkish context. Broaden your understanding of Turkish society in relation to ethnic diversity and children’s rights through visits to child care centers, non-profit organizations, education facilities and local community-based organizations. Meet with Turkish educators and youth who are at the center of current Turkish research. Reflect on your experiences as you walk through UNESCO heritage site neighborhoods, the Grand Bazaar, the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.

A five-day study tour to Paris
This program study tour immerses students in the European business environment by allowing students the opportunity to visit some of the world’s largest corporations in Europe. This tour focuses on giving students the tools to critically examine individual corporate strategies and complete a comprehensive industry analysis. Paris is one of the world's leading business and cultural centers, offering a wide range of academic and extra-curricular activities.

On the tour to Vienna, students will be able to explore the roots of clinical psychology from Freudian to present-day techniques.

Health Delivery & Prioritization in Northern Europe
A five-day study tour to the Netherlands
This study tour will connect classroom learning with real life experiences of the historical, social, economic, and political aspects of different national health care systems. You will experience the national health care system of the Netherlands through visits to primary care centers, policy-making institutions, and community health interest groups.

Holocaust and Genocide
A five-day study tour to Poland
During this week long trip to Poland students will have an opportunity to delve into the country's past. They will look at the three main populations that lived in Poland before the Nazis invaded, as well as visit memorials and monuments dedicated to people who lost their lives while Poland was occupied. Students will visit the magnificent city of Krakow, as well as visit extermination camps, most famously KZ Auschwitz.

A five-day study tour to Berlin
The tour to Berlin exposes students to major university hospitals Germany, with opportunities to speak with physicians, see cutting-edge biomedical research, and learn about medicine’s cultural and historical significance.

Human Trafficking & Prostitution
A five-day study tour to Amsterdam
As in many European cities, prostitution is legal in the Dutch capital of Amsterdam. But unlike other cities, the Dutch sex industry has become a tourist attraction. On this tour, students will gain insight into the implications of this phenomenon. They will see firsthand how prostitution impacts the women involved, how NGO’s work to help them, and how law enforcement officials have learned to cope with legalized prostitution in their city. Through hands-on visits with a multiplicity of actors, students will be able to contextualize the sociological and psychological theories of prostitution that they study in the classroom.

Humanitarian Law & Armed Conflict
A five-day study tour to Bosnia & Herzegovina
On this study tour, students of Humanitarian Law & Armed Conflict will be traveling to the tumultuous Balkan region, where you will witness human rights violations first-hand and learn from numerous speakers about Europe’s reactions to these atrocities from an international human rights law perspective. The tour also includes visits to NGOs, political and municipal bodies, and discussions with locals on the social, political and economic climate of the country.

A five-day study tour to Scotland
The Scottish government is at the forefront of mental health and well-being policy. In Scotland, students will explore the implementation of positive psychology at the policy, institutional, and individual levels. Students will also examine its practice in NGOs and learn about contemporary research of mental health and well-being issues in a Scottish context. On this tour, you will stay in the quaint, historic city of Edinburgh and vibrant cultural capital of Glasgow and will make an unforgettable excursion to the idyllic Scottish countryside.

Sustainable Technology & Responses to Climate Change
A five-day study tour to Norway
Oslo is an important region in the study of the link between technology and culture in the creation and maintenance of a sustainable environment – ecologically as well as socially. This tour will attempt to investigate conventional and unconventional energy sources with regard to their environmental and social impacts. Students will gain understanding of how current methods of energy use affect climate change and what can be done to reduce this impact and analyze how modern communities are using energy efficient technology to reduce human impact on the environment.

Architecture and Design
A three-day study tour to Western Denmark
The short study tour travels through the Danish landscape and cities outside Copenhagen to a variety of unique architectural, landscape, and urban settings. Students are introduced to design in a Danish context not only as a theoretical discourse but also as a personal experience of space and place. The primary goal is to engage students in visual note-taking and spatial and sensory analysis, while also preparing them to become self-sufficient architectural “tourists” in further travels

Architecture and Design: Sweden & Finland
A week-long study tour to Sweden and Finland
Students have two options for the long study tour: Sweden-Norway and Sweden-Finland. On the long study tour to Sweden and Finland, students utilize a visual journal to study the particular phenomenology of Scandinavian architecture, focusing on the interrelationship of natural and manufactured landscape with cultural and material expression. Emphasis is given to cultural and religious architecture and the architectural lineages of Alvar Aalto and Sigurd Lewerentz.

Architecture and Design: Sweden & Norway
A week-long study tour to Sweden and Norway
Students have two options for the long study tour: Sweden-Norway and Sweden-Finland. On the long study tour to Sweden and Norway, students develop their diagrammatic and representational skills in a visual journal through first-hand study of exceptional buildings, from adaptations of local and historical context to Oslo's newest architecture of worldwide renown. Students will also experience the unique landscape of the archipelago and the design interventions in the fjords and mountains.

Furniture Design in Scandinavia
A week-long study tour to Sweden and Finland
On the study tour, students will see a variety of furniture examples, different methods of manufacturing furniture, ways of integrating furniture with the environment (architecture), and examples of the design and architecture context in Scandinavia. The primary goal is to engage students in visual note-taking and give them inspiration for their final chair design, which they will construct as a prototype upon return to Copenhagen. The students will also gain first-hand experience of exceptional buildings, sites, and cities in Sweden and Finland.

Textile Design in Scandinavia
A week-long study tour to Sweden and Finland
On the study tour, students will see contemporary and historic textiles and workshops, several prominent methods of manufacturing textiles, and a variety of strategies for integrating textiles into the physical environment (architecture, furniture, and fashion), in addition to examples of the design and architecture context in Scandinavia. The primary goal is to engage students in visual note-taking and give them inspiration for the textile they will design upon return to Copenhagen. The students will also gain first-hand experience of exceptional buildings, sites, and cities in Sweden and Finland.
