Academic Study Abroad Programs at DIS

A program at DIS focuses on a specific academic field or topic and consists of a program core course including two faculty-led course-integrated program study tours – a three-day study tour in Denmark and a week-long study tour to a European destination.

Overview of DIS Study Abroad Programs

This integration of course work and study tours is a unique feature of DIS. The idea behind it is to offer you a strong academic focus while studying and traveling abroad without compromising your ability to freely choose elective courses according to your needs and interests. Since study tours for all programs take place simultaneously, you may only sign up for one DIS program (defined by a core course) per semester and you cannot enroll in the core course of an other program.

DIS offers a range of programs for each fall and spring semester. A core course should be chosen from one of these programs:

Architecture & DesignGlobal EconomicsPsychology
BiomedicineInternational BusinessPublic Health
Child Diversity & DevelopmentJustice & Human RightsScience & the Environment
Communication & MediaMedical Practice & PolicySociology

Danish Language & Culture

DIS recommends all students take the special course in Danish Language & Culture for a more complete study abroad experience!
