Battlefield Europe: Military History of WWII

Fall & Spring (Course starts Spring 2013) | 3 credits | Elective
Majors: History and Political Science

This course will focus on the military strategy of WWII. Students will analyze and learn how the Germans were able to conquer most of Europe while being fairly outnumbered, and will discuss the relationship between technology and doctrine from 1939 to 1945. They will also investigate the post-war ”history-production”, studying how political needs and goals helped shape what is now considered the history of WWII in certain countries.

This is a Draft Syllabus. It is subject to change up until the first day of classes.
