A historical and theoretical journey through Danish design, with a main focus set upon the settings and conditions for the successes of modern Danish design in the post-war era. Innovative examples in Danish design, past and present, and across multiple design disciplines will be examined. Students’ abilities to critically analyze design will be challenged and strengthened via a combination of lectures, symposia, field studies, and the semester-long creation of a ‘design reflection notebook'.
