In this course, child psychopathology is approached as ”normal development gone awry” and students are encouraged to think developmentally about psychopathology from childhood through adolescence. The major disorders are considered and put into perspective by means of addressing the controversial issues surrounding the field, e.g.: Is Ritalin overprescribed? What are the pros and cons of diagnosis?
Prerequisites
A university-level psychology course.
