Child Development
and
Psychology
A study of child development and disorders from a neuropsychological perspective. Among topics are normal brain and cognitive development, including language and social cognition, methods of cognitive assessment, neuropsychological aspects of developmental disorders such as ADHD and autism, as well as acquired brain injury. In addition, we will examine how this neurological perspective may influence educational practice.
Prerequisites
A university-level psychology or relevant neurobiology course (e.g. Neuroanatomy).

Cand. Psych. (1999), Specialist in Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology (2008). Has worked as a clinical psychologist with both adults and children in Denmark and England since 1999. Currently, employed as a clinical neuropsychologist at The Centre for Brain Injury, Copenhagen (Children's Department). External lecturer at Copenhagen University. With DIS since 2008.
