Environmental Research Project

Spring Semester only | 3 credits | Elective
Majors: Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Public Policy, and Sustainability

Beginning with discussions on focus, content, and planning, this project will develop into the student's own research project. Students will seek out a specialist in their field of interest who will act as an advisor throughout their research process. The student will complete the research paper during their second semester at DIS, and the DIS Environmental & Sustainability department will sign-off on their final completed research paper.

Prerequisites

This is for full-year students only. Students must have taken either Sustainable Development: Environmental, Political, & Social Issues or Climate Change from a Historical Perspective as a core course in the fall. Research projects will be completed in the spring.

FULL-YEAR REQUIREMENT

Environmental Research Project is for full-year students in the Sustainability in Europe or Science & the Environment programs. Students must have taken either Sustainable Development: Environmental, Political, & Social Issues or Climate Change from a Historical Perspective as a core course in the fall.
