A rare opportunity to study arctic phenomena in Greenland. This course combines lectures in Copenhagen (topics include arctic biology, geology, oceanography, meteorology, global warming, and arctic politics) with hands-on experience at the research centre at Kangerlussuaq. Due to the inclusion of a 5-day study tour, there is an extra fee of $1,295 for this course.

Prerequisites

A background or interest in science is strongly recommended.

Field Studies

Center for Ice and Climate (CIC)
Learn about the science involved in paleo-climate and ice coring. Visit the deep freezer to see real ice cores from prehistoric times in Greenland.
