Globalization contributes to major shifts in global health patterns and how these are perceived and addressed. Global health has become a discipline in itself. It emphasizes not only public health but also the broader connections to economic and political factors, and the connections between national and international aspects.
The focus of this course is therefore on perspective: to map and analyze those global shifts, identifying progress and challenges. The course adopts a broad approach, covering a wide range of health issues and a global geographic vision.
