The overall aim of this course is to help students develop a dynamic competence for leadership across cultures. Drawing substantially from company examples, case studies and current academic research, students will be provided with a set of conceptual frameworks for understanding, analyzing and evaluating the impact of culture in a broad variety of leadership and business situations. The course will adopt a holistic and knowledge-based approach to leadership, emphasizing the importance of reflexivity, tacit knowledge and cultural intelligence. The ultimate aim of the course is for students to develop an ability of learning how to learn and reflexively understand one's own role as a business leader.
Field Studies
- Leadership and Cultural Understanding through Experience
- Students will be asked to interview people working in multicultural workplaces, as well as managers and other leaders.

Finn Majlergaard
Dr. Finn Majlergaard is the managing partner of Gugin, a global operating consulting firm specialised in helping companies around the world taking advantage from cultural diversity. He turn leaders into global leaders by increasing their level of cultural intelligence and apply them to the traditional leadership skills.
Previously Dr. Majlergaard have worked for global companies like IBM, CSC and Arthur Andersen and he has lived and worked in more than 30 countries. He holds an MBA from Henley Management College, UK and a Doctoral degree from ISM.
