Read the Royal Danish Academy of Music's e-brochure.

The course offers individual training in principal instrument or voice in the student's primary area of study as well as a possibility for participation in an instrumental ensemble at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.

The Royal Academy of Music sets a high standard in music performance; students applying must submit a solo performance recording on DVD together with a repertoire list to DIS for the Academy application committee. Once accepted, a personal course schedule will be worked out in coordination with DIS to fit the student’s other electives at DIS.

Application deadline
All material (DVD and list of repertoire) is to be submitted no later than 1 February (fall semester) or 1 September (spring semester) in order the Academy application committee to review the material.

Studying at both DIS and RDAM gave me the opportunity to study music at a high level, while still fulfilling my University requirements. I also got to stay with a host family, one of my favorite aspects of being in Denmark.
