A study of recent research in the rapidly expanding field of positive psychology. Students will critique the possible pitfalls of a psychology of happiness, explore constructs of subjective well-being, and consider the ways that positive emotions influence cognition, health, wealth, and social relationships.

A university-level psychology course.

Licensed Psychologist, 2012). Clinical Psychologist, Psychiatry, Capital Region of Denmark, since 2009. Specialized in Cognitive-behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-based Therapies. YMSc in Economics (Copenhagen University, 1991); minor in Psychology (Aalborg University, 2007), and Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) from the Coaches Training Institute (CTI 2007). Specialized in the field of Positive Psychology Coaching. Lecturer at Metropolitan University College since 2008 in coaching & counseling, positive psychology coaching, change theory, and stress management. With DIS since 2011.

MSc in Applied Positive Psychology (University of East London). BA in Political Science (Aarhus University). Launched concept Play Your Strengths together with LEGO®, 2009. Presented at the 5th European Conference on Positive Psychology (Copenhagen, June 2010) and the 2nd World Congress on Positive Psychology (Philadelphia, June 2011). Currently a self-employeed coach, consultant and concept developer in positive psychology and design thinking. With DIS since 2011.
