Psychopharmacology - Substances and the Brain

This course discusses and analyzes the effects of different drugs (legal and illegal) on the brain, covering neurotransmitters, basic neurobiology, and functional drugs. This course will also touch upon the psychology, sociology, and the misery of addition. This course will focus on the cellular and biochemical effects of substances on the brain, but it will also incorporate sociologiccal elements.
Prerequisites
One year biology and one semester psychology.
