Climate change calls for radical re-thinking of our energy systems - ultimately, a change towards 100 percent renewable energy systems. But is this possible? This course examines the technical, economic, political and social aspects of renewable energy. Different renewable energy technologies (wind, solar, hydro, biomass, etc.) are explored, and the strengths and weaknesses of different policy options (feed-in tariffs, quotas, etc.) are discussed.
