An introduction to the religion and world view of the pre-Christian Scandinavians as reflected in primary medieval texts and poems from the Viking Age (800-1050). Visits tolandscapes and historical sites providing insights into the culture and values of the Viking Age and its influence on modern Icelandic society. An emphasis will be placed on the Icelandic Sagas.
