Description
Greece is home to ancient philosophers, architects and artists who gave birth to modern thought and created an architectural and artistic style emulated for centuries. Walking through Greek ruins and the city streets never ceases to shed light on the ancient life that fascinates us today and enables us to better understand the context of western history.
Athens and the surrounding areas embody the nation’s rich history. After gaining a background in classical heritage, you will conduct on-site analyses of some of Greece’s most famous sights, including the Acropolis and Agora. You will also venture outside the capital city to Delphi, famous for its oracle, and to the Argolid, scattered with ancient theatres, stadiums and archeological finds in Nemea, Epidauros and Mycenae.
Experiencing the splendors of ancient Athens and the rich history of Dephi and the Argolid allows you to better understand the art, architecture, and culture of classical Greece that has survived for thousands of years and whose legacy continues to shape our modern world.
