Objectives

  • To provide insight and understanding into Danish broadcast media, film, and communications careers. Through visits, lectures and workshops students will experience what is unique about these industries in Denmark and then learn to apply them both in the classroom and on the long study tour.

Previous Activities Have Included

  • News and media workshop at Brandts Media Museum
  • Visit and discussion with production manager at M2 Film, the leading advertiser of LEGO
  • A behind-the scenes tour and lecture at TV2, a Danish television broadcaster
  • Guided tour and time on own at ARoS Museum in Århus

Description

This short study tour gives you the opportunity to take a closer look into Danish media institutions and careers in communication. Through visits such as TV2, students will further their understanding of the challenges a major public service broadcaster faces with the introduction of digital media. In addition to visiting major Danish media institutions, students will get the chance to interact with one another in broadcast workshops or with Danish students at the European film college.
