Objectives
- Introduce to students to the Danish perspective on trade and aid
- Engage in a dialogue with corporations and organizations, based or operating in Denmark, in order to better grasp the benefits and costs of international trade and aid
- Examine the position of stakeholders and the motivation behind engaging in global markets
Previous Activities Have Included
- Visits to multinational companies with a large presence in developing and emerging markets
- Meetings with NGOs engaged in facilitating aid and trade to developing economies
- Visits to Suzlon Wind Energy, Danish Crown, and PROSA.
Description
This tour is designed to illustrate the various motivations influencing different Danish stakeholders involved in foreign investment and aid through visits to both governmental and private organizations focused on developing and emerging economies as well as large companies based in Denmark that either invest or operate in these markets. In addition to such visits, students will be challenged to immerse themselves in the Danish culture through cultural exhibitions, activities and cuisine.
