A three day program-integrated study tour to Western Denmark. Core course(s) with this study tour:

Objectives

  • Engage in dialogue with corporations, based or operating in Denmark, in order to gain an understanding of business strategy in regards to Danish regulations, market demands, and culture
  • Introduce students to the Danish business environment as a contrast to the United States
  • Analyze and critique Danish business models in the context of their industry

Previous Activities Have Included

  • Visit to Lego Group including a tour of their production facilities
  • Meeting with CFO of Vestas Nacelles
  • Behind-the-scenes insight into the operations of multinational companies

Description

Home to some of the world’s largest producers of wind turbines, toys, pork, dairy products, water pumps, enzymes and beer, Denmark is an ideal environment to gain insights into a multitude of industries. Students on this tour visit companies and organizations that have tremendous impact on the global marketplace and have the opportunity to gain insights into the dynamic world of business. Combined with various cultural exhibitions, activities and cuisine students will be able to gain insights into the factors that contribute to a seemingly unique business environment.
