Description
On the tour to Vienna, students will be able to explore the roots of clinical psychology from Freudian to present-day techniques. The tour will allow students to dig deeper into the culture of the city by attending performances, visiting museum exhibitions, and exploring the streets of the city.
Tours integrate theories presented in classroom learning together with observations, field studies, and the tour visits to set the stage for an extended study of clinical psychology practices from many different cultural perspectives.
On this tour, students will explore the links between policy and practice, and how to investigate mental health from a cross-cultural perspective. Visits give students a forum to discuss and debate cultural differences within ‘best practice’, and each of the destinations encourages students to explore the historical, economic, and social backgrounds of european clinical psychology.
