- Examine the role, function, and organization of the Danish health care system through exposure to primary care, health care administration, health promotion and community health initiatives.

- Visit and tour of Svendborg Hospital’s telemedicine department
- Behind-the-scenes insight into the health care system from a leading administrator
- Presentation and tour from general practitioners
Description
This study tour aims to familiarize you with the health care system in Denmark, with a focus on health care administration and the role of the general practitioner in Denmark. On this tour, you will also be able to investigate the administrative side of public health and experience firsthand how municipalities operate within and shape the Danish health care system.
In addition to the academic activities on study tour, the study tour program is supplemented with cultural visits to relevant and exciting sites and events to help engaged students to the fullest extent. In the past, cultural visits have included staying at a Danish boarding school, touring castles, and experiencing traditional Danish food.
